LGCC golf gets underway Saturday

Season opener

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The 2021 golf season gets underway at the Lloydminster Golf & Curling Centre this Saturday as tee times are now available for booking online or contacting the Pro Shop.

Weather permitting, the 18-hole golf course and practise greens will open to the public with COVID-19 public health measures starting Saturday, April 17, 2021.

“Similar to summer 2020, the golf course will operate out of an abundance of caution and will strictly follow the public health measures outlined by the Government of Saskatchewan and health authorities. We know everyone is excited to get back out onto the course, and we ask for the ongoing support and understanding of enthusiasts and learners during this time,” said Joel Turcotte, Director of Recreation and Cultural Services. “With the early arrival of spring weather, we’re excited to open the golf course and driving range in a manner that keeps everyone safe.”

The Pro Shop will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., allowing four people, excluding staff, inside at one time, and will follow the guidelines for retailers as outlined by the Government of Saskatchewan.

The driving range also operates under additional safety measures, including limiting the number of participants to eight, sanitizing driving range balls after every use and removing all unnecessary touchpoints.

Patrons are strongly encouraged to book a tee time online at lgcc.ca/teetime, allowing course users to book a tee time seven days in advance. Tee times, four days in advance, can be reserved by calling the Pro Shop at 306-825-5494. Walk-on golfers are not permitted.

The clubhouse restaurant, indoor and outdoor seating areas for food and beverage are open and adhere to the Restaurant and Licensed Establishment Guidelines within the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan.
